Doreen Ochung is a digital and information security consultant at Open Briefing, with extensive experience supporting civil society organisations and individuals across Sub-Saharan Africa and the MENA region. She has a background in cybersecurity, having worked with startups and nonprofits in Kenya to establish and secure IT infrastructures. Passionate about knowledge sharing, Doreen excels in conducting security assessments and delivering tailored training programmes and resources to help at-risk communities enhance their digital resilience. She was previously a cyber security fellow at Co-creation Hub (CcHUB), a digital security incident handler at Access Now. She is a strong advocate for pragmatic and proactive approaches to digital security, empowering those she works with to confidently navigate the challenges of the digital age. Doreen holds a degree in applied computer science. She speaks English and Swahili.
