Shauna Dillavou is a digital security consultant at Open Briefing. Shauna is a security innovator who specialises in leveraging technology, communication and relationships for social change.​​ She regularly conducts digital security audits and trainings for non-profits and focusses on translating security into accessible terms for organisations. Her work in security began in 2008 as an open source intelligence analyst for the US government. In 2013, she founded CommunityRED,  a non-profit delivering secure technology solutions to citizen reporters surviving the drug war in Mexico, behind the Great Digital Wall of China, and struggling for democracy in the Middle East. Today, Shauna specialises in personal security support for women, civic actors with diverse profiles, environmental defenders, and opposition politicians. She is currently studying for certificates in change management and trauma-informed organisational cultures.
