Call to support effective funding for the safety and security of aid workers
Open Briefing has signed an open letter from the European Interagency Security Forum (EISF) calling on non-governmental and donor organisations to address the ineffective financing of safety and security for aid workers. In continuing to treat security risk management as a general administrative cost rather than its own justifiable function with unique budget lines, both NGOs and donors risk falling short of their duty of care.

This year's IDAHOT on 17 May is focussed on justice and protection for all. Open Briefing wishes to recruit an interim fundraising manager for an immediate start. Reporting to the executive director, the consultant will be responsible for developing, managing and implementing a new fundraising programme. This will include developing income for core, programmes and projects from trusts and foundations and statutory funding as well as other sources, such as high-net-worth individuals, corporate sponsorship and crowdfunding.

Mental Health First Aid England and its partners are calling on employers to lay down their commitment to workplace wellbeing by signing the Workplace Manifesto. Counselling and Psychological First Aid
Open Briefing provides counselling and Psychological First Aid (PFA) for individuals and retained service agreements and PFA training for organisations. As part of our commitment to promoting wellbeing and resilience, we have recently expanded our specialist counselling team. We now have two highly-experienced counsellors providing counselling to human rights defenders and humanitarians working in violent, repressive or high-stress environments or in the aftermath of critical incidents.
