Marta González is a protection and security coordinator at Open Briefing. She is a lawyer specialising in human rights, with over ten years of experience working across Latin America. Her work has focused on the protection of women human rights defenders, sexual and reproductive rights, and serious human rights violations, through a gender-responsive approach and strategic litigation and advocacy. She also draws on feminist popular education to build and document learning and protection strategies alongside human rights defenders and social movements. She has collaborated with organisations including IM-Defensoras, CEJIL, the Center for Reproductive Rights, and Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights. Based in Madrid, she speaks Spanish, English, and French.
