Open Briefing has recently been accepted as a member of the Mental Health Innovation Network (MHIN).

MHIN was founded by Global Affairs Canada and is jointly led by the Centre for Global Mental Health (CGMH) at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, and the World Health Organisation’s (WHO) Department for Mental Health and Substance Abuse.

MHIN is a network  for the global mental health community to  communicate and share knowledge, experiences and resources to improve the quality and coverage of care. It aims to facilitate the development and uptake of effective mental health interventions by enabling learning, building partnerships, synthesising and disseminating knowledge, and leveraging resources.

Open Briefing is championing the provision of specialised counselling and psychosocial support for at-risk human rights defenders and humanitarians working in violent or repressive environments. We look forward to working with the other members of the Mental Health Innovation Network to further this goal.
