Digital and information security

“When two of our Goldman Environmental Prize winners needed an immersion into digital security, Open Briefing organised valuable training sessions. The training was comprehensive and accessible, and our Prize winners have strengthened their security measures as a direct result.”
Myriah Cornwell, Program Officer, Goldman Environmental Prize

Open Briefing promotes an approach that is human-centred and focussed on understanding risk and protecting information assets rather than auditing device configurations and digital security practices against potentially-arbitrary standards. We follow the maxim that ‘security at the expense of usability, comes at the expense of security’. In other words, if your ‘secure system’ is not easy to use, staff will not use it – negating any security benefit.

We provide digital security assessments and innovative training to help NGOs of all sizes understand and mitigate their information security risks in a cost-effective manner. As an additional benefit of working with us, we also refer clients for free 24/7 digital security incident response and free DDoS protection and website security services.
